Stephanie Simper, oboe, is one of the founders of Aspen Winds and is head of marketing and scheduling.  She often performs with the Orchestra on Temple Square in their classical concerts, Music and the Spoken Word with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and can be heard in many of their recordings.  Stephanie has also performed with the Utah Symphony, Salt Lake Choral Artists, the Utah Baroque Ensemble, and the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra.   As a mother of 4 children, Stephanie's days are busy juggling activities for her children with her constant reed making and business management over Aspen Winds. Stephanie received her bachelors degree in oboe performance from Arizona State University, graduating in 2005. She was a freelance musician in Phoenix playing for the Mesa Symphony Orchestra, Symphony of the West Valley and many small church settings.  She was also principal oboist of the Tempe Symphonic Winds and St. Stephen's Chamber Ensemble.  Stephanie enjoys improving her skills as a sound engineer and graphic designer for Aspen Winds.   

Stephanie Simper and Kerri Green performed Robert Manookin's Oboe Sonata in 2013 as part of the LDS Composer's Guild Concert Series in Salt Lake City Utah.
