We celebrated our Inaugural Chamber Music Recital Series at our new, home, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The theme of the season was Reflections: Five Members, Five Concerts, Five Unforgettable Evenings. This project was ambitious and rewarding. Each member of Aspen Winds was in charge of choosing repertoire for one concert and putting their personal stamp to it that created evening of chamber music that resonated on a deeply personal level. Unfortunately, along with all performances across our country, our plans were cut short by Covid-19 after only three of our original five concerts. We also planned to continue to visit area schools, as part of our 6th year of sponsorship by NOVA Chamber Music Series. With their continued support, and in conjunction with the MUNDI Project, we were able to present a video version of Peter and the Wolf as part of the “Concerts from the Couch,” presented by Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum via Facebook.

As part of the Viridian Event Center and Excellence in the Community, Aspen Winds presented an eclectic evening of music and stories that enthralled the audience. They even spread a little Christmas cheer by donning their “Ugly Christmas Sweaters” for the lighthearted second half.
